4 Reasons Real Estate Agents Need Mobile Marketing

If you are a Real Estate Agent then you are aware that there is a big movement in the market moving towards mobile marketing.  We are all on our mobile phones for over 80 minutes a day on average.  A vast majority has a smart phone as the price for these phones are getting cheaper.  So being that there is a huge movement in this direction we want to help you as an agent understand the top 4 reasons you need to be apart of it.

1. Your Marketing Is Getting Savvier

There is a huge number of people that aren’t tech savvy and have literally skipped over dealing with the computers, but smart phones are making it so easy for them to interact and find things through apps that they use their phones as their main way to search for information.  My brother is a perfect example.  He can’t type on a computer he is a hunt and peek type of user and can barely use a browser….hope he doesn’t read this.

But he is a whiz on his phone, its because he has it on him at all times and is accustomed to using its features.  As an agent you should want to focus on this crowd.  These people are the ones that will search Google maps for real estate and then communicate what they find through text to their spouse or significant others.

2. QR Codes Get Results

QR CodeQR codes are used and can stay there a lot longer after your info tube is empty.  Take advantage of this because you can send them to a page that has more detail and the ability to have them contact you through voice or text straight from their phone while they are still looking at your property.

3. Mobile Advertising Inside of Ad Networks

I wouldn’t suggest doing this inside of platforms that send blanket advertisements but being able to focus on apps that are about real estate and allow for geo-targeting your message can be huge.  Just think of the person that is on apps like : Zip Realty.  If you are able to cater your message to a certain geo location then you will be able to advertise on the top or bottom of the app.  These people are looking, this is your target market, now all you have to do is get in front of them.

4.  SMS Text Message Marketing

This is by far the best even better than QR codes, because what happens is a prospect will be driving by your property and text a keyword to a number and get the details of the house right then.  Why it is better than QR codes is that you can still send them to a site that is optimized for mobile and they can get the same specifics, but you now have their phone number.  So you can update them in time with other properties, what is happening with that property they were first interested in and more.

Then of course there is the route of using the big boys like Zillow ad Trulia to upload your own listings. But I know that a lot of agents don’t like to use those services but it is still an option but not included as a reason in this list.

Overall if you are an agent and trying to reach out to your customers in unique ways that are cost effective and trackable, then mobile is going to be the route you want to utilize.  It has the best response and gives the person searching the information they need right then when they are at a certain location.
